Project Description
The entire model is 3D printed as one piece. 3D printing is a process by which 3D objects are created in a digital file. It is also called additive production, because, unlike classic production, which involves cutting and removing the material from a piece of metal or plastic, 3D printing adds successive layers of material until the final object is obtained.
3D printing improves production and facilitates several meticulous operations when architectural models are created. Compared to other production processes, 3D printing allows adding extremely small, millimeter-scale layers, which is a huge plus in making models of different sizes.
