Project Description
This is an architectural model of a hotel building. The model is photographed in low light, which effectively highlights its internal illumination and dramatic form. The design features a complex, stepped structure composed of two primary masses:
- A long, horizontal base which extends across the foreground.
- A taller, vertical tower that rises prominently from the base, giving the hotel a distinct silhouette.
The model is brilliantly internally illuminated with warm-toned light, simulating occupied rooms at night. This technique immediately draws the eye and emphasizes the rhythm of the windows and floors. The lighting creates a strong contrast with the dark surroundings, giving the model a sleek, luxurious, and active nighttime appearance.
The building is situated on a dark base plate. There are small patches of bright green material representing landscaping around the base, which provide a pop of color and suggest a modern, well-maintained exterior site plan.
This model depicts a modern, multi-story hotel characterized by its dynamic two-part massing, strong horizontal emphasis on the facade, and dramatic internal lighting designed to showcase the building’s presence and function at night.
For architects and designers, architectural models serve as indispensable tools for visualizing spaces and assessing access points. They offer the opportunity to experiment with various design concepts, ensuring the final rendition resonates with the desired clientele.
In the realm of hospitality, visual communication through architectural models is crucial for securing funding, obtaining approvals, and garnering community support for proposed projects. This not only boosts visitor numbers but also bolsters local revenues.
