Project Description
This scale model represents a conceptual CT (Computed Tomography) scanner, developed as a study in medical device design and spatial integration. The project focuses on reinterpreting the traditional scanner form through a more compact, patient-friendly, and visually approachable design.
The model is characterized by smooth, rounded geometries and a clean, monolithic volume, reducing the intimidating appearance often associated with medical equipment. The central circular opening defines the scanning area, while integrated side modules suggest housing for technical components and control systems.
Subtle detailing, including screen placements, access panels, and cable elements, enhances the realism of the model and reflects functional considerations. The illuminated base emphasizes the object as a standalone unit, highlighting its form and reinforcing a sense of precision and advanced technology.
Through its minimalist aesthetic and refined proportions, the model explores how medical equipment can be both highly functional and visually calming, contributing to a more comfortable experience for patients and a more efficient workflow for medical professionals.
